Questions about Predicted Edge

Plain answers to what people ask before they rely on a prediction site.

What is Predicted Edge?
A football statistics and predictions site. It publishes a probability for every match across 38 leagues, 22 cup competitions and international football, at least 24 hours before kick-off, from a Dixon–Coles model fitted on results and expected goals, with the form, tables, team statistics and head-to-head records behind each one.
Who runs Predicted Edge?
An independent operator, funded by Patreon memberships and not paid by bookmakers. The contact page reaches a person.
Can Predicted Edge change a prediction after the match?
No. A prediction is locked when its match kicks off, and the database itself refuses any change after that; a settled outcome cannot be re-settled either. Once a day is over, every pick published for it, members’ picks included, is listed with its price, the final score and its outcome, losses included.
How is Predicted Edge different from a tipster?
A tipster tells you what to back and usually shows the winners. Predicted Edge shows the probability behind every call, the price it judges fair and the price on offer, and publishes every pick afterwards whether it won or lost. Its method, including the parts that are unflattering, is written out in full on the how-it-works page.
How is it different from other football prediction sites?
Most prediction sites give a likely result for each match. Predicted Edge gives the probability of every outcome, compares it with the bookmakers’ own consensus with their margin removed, and only advises a bet where the best available price stands clear of both. Most matches do not qualify, and their pages say so.
How accurate are the predictions?
The site makes no accuracy or performance claim. Predictions are probabilities, not certainties, and past predictions do not indicate future results. What it does instead is publish every prediction and every pick with its outcome, so you can judge for yourself.
Which leagues does Predicted Edge cover?
38 leagues, 22 cup competitions and international football. The competitions page lists every one, and each has its own predictions page.
Which model does it use?
A Dixon–Coles adjusted Poisson model. It estimates how many goals each side tends to score and concede, adjusts for opponent and venue, and turns that into a probability for every scoreline; every market is derived from that one table, so the numbers never contradict each other.
What is free on Predicted Edge?
Every probability, the likely score, previews, tables, team statistics, form, head-to-head records and every calculator; the model’s 3 strongest picks each day in full; and every pick from previous days with its outcome.
What does membership add, and what does it cost?
Every pick the model publishes, in every market it prices, the moment it is published, with the price, stake and reasoning; the full market table on every match page; and the value finder. £4.99 a month through Patreon, cancel any time. Members must be 18 or over. Membership is access to predictions and analysis, not a betting service, and no outcome is certain.
Is Predicted Edge a bookmaker?
No. It takes no bets and holds no funds, and it is not paid by any bookmaker. Every price it shows is from a bookmaker licensed by the Gambling Commission.
